party planning

As Callan's FIRST BIRTHDAY approaches, I've been slowly working on decorations and menu planning.  The party is going to be teeny.  Seven of us.  That includes the birthday boy.  But that's not going to stop me from going "all out".

Well, as "all out" as a budget as big as the party can allow.  :)  You know how it is.

So, I am, now, one of those people that re-purposes paint chips.  No, I didn't raid the local Lowe's or Walmart's paint departments - I sacrificed the 3 fan decks I had stashed away from my interior design days.  I picked up a 1" hole punch from Hobby Lobby (using a 40% off coupon), and got to punching.  1430 circles.  Yes, one thousand, four hundred thirty circles.

I have yards and yards of blue/green/yellow/orange paint chip garland.  All shades.  And I love it.

Other decor is in the making...you'll see all of it soon enough because Callan's party is in less than a week!!
