hey, cupcake

Was there a particular snack you ate in a peculiar way when you were a kid?  Hostess cupcakes were that snack for me.  I relived this childhood cupcake eating method just the other day.

First, peel off the icing.  If you're able to "peel" icing off a cupcake, it's probably not made from the freshest ingredients...  Anyways, after the icing is off, eat the cake part and then separate the white squiggle from the rest of the icing.  Eat the icing, saving the squiggle for last.  Maybe it was just the fact that this was a strawberry flavored Hostess cupcake and not the traditional chocolate, but this little cupcake was not nearly as good as I remember when I was a kid.  It was fun to relive the eating process, though :)

  1. Hi Allison~

Weren't Hostess treats the ultimate dessert when you were a kid? To me they were, because we were not allowed to have them very often. My favorite were the Twinkies. But I agree with you~ these treats do not taste as good as when I was a kid! Perhaps it is because we have a more discriminating taste? :)

I hope you have a great day!

    Blessings,
    Jenni
